HSE v Bupa Care Homes (BNH) Limited [2019] EWCA Crim 1691

Appeared for care home provider in appeal against sentence in respect of a prosecution related to the death of a resident from legionella. Considering the sentencing guideline and line of authority the court of appeal determined that the company’s sentence had been manifestly excessive and reduced the fine by £1.5 million.
