CQC v NHS Trust

Acted for an NHS Trust in a prosecution by the CQC for failure to provide safe care and treatment, which exposed very young children to a significant risk of avoidable harm. The breach arose from the Trust’s failures to implement safeguarding processes and make appropriate referrals when children presented at the Emergency Department with possible Non Accidental Injuries.
